# Create a company for filing preparation

> Supply its legal name and domicileJurisdictionId. Optional NAIC codes are stored as supplied after trimming; preserve leading zeros. Names and NAIC codes are not unique: search before creating. This does not import a catalog carrier. Requires a write-capable user key, MC edit access and registered resource types. Does not submit a filing or contact SERFF. POST is not idempotent; inspect the list after an uncertain response before retrying. JSON body limit: 64 KiB.
