Generated from the package’s Python API. Pet health insurance: the line’s schema. SCHEMA (version pet/1.0) lists the tables of a pet book, their keys and their core columns: facts with one meaning each, typed and empty unless supplied. A book needs only submissions and pets; policyholders is built from the submissions’ policyholder_id unless you pass it. A submission prices one owner’s pets together, however many policies a carrier writes for them. Each pet row holds what the owner knows about the pet, such as its species, breed, sex, date of birth and enrollment date, and the plan the owner chose: the product, deductible, reimbursement and annual limit. Optional coverages rows add coverages beyond accident and illness, such as wellness or dental illness, and optional affiliations rows name what the policyholder belongs to, such as the military. reimbursement_percent is the insurer’s share of a covered bill, such as 90. A carrier that files coinsurance as the owner’s share, such as 10, gets 100 minus it from its prepare. A carrier’s own assignments, such as a breed group, a territory or a renewal experience level, stay out of the book: its rater derives them, or its program declares them with SCHEMA.with_columns. Breeds are the owner’s words, so each program maps them to its carrier’s breed list. Every other column is yours. relativities.Book(tables, schema=pet.SCHEMA) is a pet book, and a relativities.Program rates it with one carrier’s rater: its prepare turns the book into that rater’s input.

SCHEMA

The pet health line’s schema, version pet/1.0 (pet.SCHEMA.version): policyholders, submissions, pets, coverages and affiliations, with their keys and core columns. It covers dogs, cats, birds, exotics and reptiles. pets.reimbursement_percent is the insurer’s share of a covered bill. Pass it as Book(tables, schema=pet.SCHEMA). print(pet.SCHEMA) lists every column, and the pet book schema page shows the same tables.
